I don’t think that I understand the script, but it seems that the RGSS support playing movie type file. Anyway, to play the movie with script above follow this steps:

Just copy the script and create new script on your RMXP project, name them anything you like (mine Scene_Movie).
Create directory in your RMXP project and name it ‘Movies’.
Put your movie files there.
Use Event Command. Look for the command Script on third page. Add the script ‘Scene_Movie.new("your_movie_files_name_without_extension")’

Hehehehe.. Stupid name, but this works. Khalayak umum means follow the odds in english. As you should already know, that deciding which position to do transaction is the main problem in foreign exchange trading. Doh! Even the most sophisticated technical analysis or even when you had the Dow and the Jones besides you. You can never expect an accurate trading position, well that's on my amateur point of view though. The lucky and the smart one is going to be the lucky one, while the unlucky will loose money. However, I found that we could follow the "lucky guys position" if we want. This position ensures us to gain margin as the lucky one should be.

It's the etorro Top Trader Insight tools!! Oh I love you etorro it's even better than the SAR or the Rainbow technical analysis har har har. Just follow the odds and you should be fine.

Ack. Wait the minute, if you're going to follow the odds you should also look at the chart. Whether you already too late to folow the mainstream or you could gain a little momentum. You should know it though.

Making A Tree for RPG Game

Make graphic in the game is one of obstacle, I mean challenges for the amateur author games (such as me). Programming skills without qualified graphical capabilities would eventually make the game project stagnant.

Anyway, graphics capabilities can be trained, for example, with tough-tough tutorial pixel art house eight. Making a tree!

Hum, recently I have a project to make a guide to RPG book. I think it's better to note several RPG plots. Okay, let's start with it. As this is going to be periodically update, please see this post once in time again.

This in my opinion is one of the standard plot in even famous RPG. We will play as a PC who lost his past, though at one point while maintain the journey regain his memmory back... One example is the plot of Galuf on Final Fantasy V.

Hehehe, somehow I became avid posting about PTC. Ah, today's review PTC is THINKBUX! The best choice PTC according to PTCTalk.

Profil

As usual, I always check the man behind the PTC by using who.is. Oh, the contact person is named Daniel Suchy. We got address and phone number. Plus 1 for Thinkbux [+1] i think :D.

Now let's talk about payment. As most PTC, Thinkbux also offers 0.01 per ads click. However they only provide small ammount of ads!! 6 ads per day. So most income per day is 0.06 dolar for regular member. I think its minus 1 for Thinkbux [-1].

Capital resistance as indicated from profit orientation is absurd in my opinion. As they only charges 14$ per 1000 view. Obviously minus 1 [-1]. However people argue that they already paid by Thinkbux. Payment of proof is abundance [+1]. Not to mention its quick payment time, one day! [+1]

Design

I see that Thinkbux web design is not quite bad, original and theme was surprisingly quite catchy [+1].

Score

Overall, I think the Thinkbux is quite impressive if ONLY, it has a better capital resistance, final score is +2.

Take The Globe is one of the infamous PTC , though it is out of rank according to PTCTalk. If we whois the site, we will see that this PTC is just registered on 2007 by the name of PS3Gamers.org (which is inaccessible)[-1]. Located in America.

It's unique feature is this PTC has abundance amount of ads to click on. Which at least almost 74 ads per day. As the compensation unlike many other PTC which paid for 0.01 per ads, Take The Globe only paid us for 0.005 per click. If we manage to click all of the ads, we could at least get almost 0.4 dollar per day [+1].

Payment of proof TTG is relatively scattered around the net [+1], which means they actualy pays.

While the capital resistence is not quite bad, as they charge for 19 dollar for every 1000 visits [+1], and the reffs are to be purchased not rented.

Creating Banner Help in TADS HTML 3

If you are long in IF games, you should have very familiar about banner1 on top or below of the main window. In TADS we could always create more that kind of banner easily. Easy for me to say it now, though you might surprised how I was stressed for weeks just to know how to create a banner and a text inside it. Thus, this tutorial is going to help you not to pass days and weeks just to figure how it works.

For example, you want to create a help banner that should pop up whenever you call on the function. The second banner which is the help banner that we are going to make is actually an object. So first of all you should create an object, then put the code like this:

List in TADS HTML 3

The most useful features of Tads IMHO, is how the Tads could handle the object. Variable, table, vector, and list, you name it. I never seen any game authoring that could handle object collection like the Tads. List, what’s going to be discussed now, is one of the precious. It is unfortunately, that if you’re new on Tads and just only read the Tour Guide or the Getting Started, those books won’t let you get a hand on the object handler such as List.

Anyway, List in simple term could be analogized as a bracket, a bag, where you could put any identified object or things. For example we have apple and orange:

When you put the apple and orang into a bag, the list collect the object in a method:

Now, the unique of this bag is that any inner attributes of the object is inherited onto the object. Thus, after put into the bag, the fruits is available whenever you want. Hence, you could call on the fruits and even conditioned the attributes anytime - using the foreach command.

First Impression

I don’t really pay attention to this anime as I play its first episode. Mostly because in five minutes of playback, the anime wasn’t showing anything to laugh at. It’s very serious that almost bored me. Well, I’m avoiding hurt-bad-like-drama or anime since the annoying drama, Proposal Daisakusen.

It’s in my opinion,the anime is a simple typical J romantic drama. One ignorant but too kind guy and pretty girls. The lucky guy is named Shinichiro Yakagami. A young master of sake factory, trying to find his own life to be a mangaka in between the familly heritage burden.
Character

OOT. I remember that there once hentai manga mentioned that “I believe there will be only three girls that had a true true love for one man, but I never thought it would be at the same time.” Well, the anime shown this situation on its own unique way.

The first heart is Hiromi Yasua, the first love of the young master. A very contradictive character if I must say, as she is feminine and quiet go-glasses girl, but at the same time, a strong willed basketball sporty girl. Silent but hasty. Patience and egoistical at the same time. The only incontradictive is the fact that she is pretty. Since the death of her parent she lived in the household of the Yakagami. This condition forced her to enull her love secret toward the young master. ~”Don’t leave me behind!”

The second heart is Isurugi Noe. She is an enigmatic yet naive and dreamy girl. Uncomfort past memmory plays major role in shaping her attitude. However, the story itself zig zag on her development to fall in love toward the young master. She presents an innocence yet charismatic girl that eventually in the end captures the heart of the young master in her own way. ~”I want to take your tears.”

The third heart is Ai. A cook in small resto near the school. She has a long crush to the young master, that unfortunately left unnoticed. Until she shows it clearly and smoothly to the young master. Ah, what a lucky guy. ~”Please, see me!”

Plot

Anyway, the story mainly, plotted by the foolishness of ignorantly stupid male character ~ Argh, I hate this kind of story since the I’s. Though, some of them also got more and more twisted with the past story of Hiromi’s mother. Even complexified with Isurugi Jun, Noe’s brother, who is a bold sister complex and of course the best friend of the young master who’s involved on the net of tears.
Last

Finally, I like the music as it fits to the story well, and the most incrediblessst thing attached to the movie is its background graphic. WOW!! You’ll notice immediately that the anime is worthwhile watch and appreciate as its made with the best capability you might found in 2D anime. FYI, I never amazed with any anime graphic since the full frame rate luxurious animation as in Cowboy Beebop the Movie!

Easy Making MIDI Music With Cakewalk

Several days ago I was asked to come seeing my old band’s performance. They played for some contest. Hehe. Congratulation for your winning. Anyhow, it’s been a long time to hear the band again. Reminiscing the songs, Bel Air, I realized that I can’t leave music.

Anyway. Today posting is about “how to composse your own digital music for newbie”. So I compose the tutorial into several posts. Well, the first entry is making music in MIDI format.

Chapter One:

MAKING MIDI MUSIC WITH CAKEWALK

For most people that long in music industry or game, or even gadget should already know what is MIDI. Music Instrument Digital Interface. But for those who still doesn't had the idea what it is should see the example on mobile phone ringtone.

Specifically MIDI is a kind of computer language(correct me if I wrong – search at the wiki) which instruct the machine to let out noise with different kind of frequency. I will not discuss about this technology on detail though.

Enihow. To make a music with MIDI actualy we would only need a low end computer and a software. There are lots of software to do the MIDI, but in this tutorial I will use the Cakewalk from ProAudio.

This is the init interface when we running the Cakewalk. By the way, for the first time install, just click next and so on with the soundtest.

Create New Project

Just choose the "create new project". That this dialog box would pop ups then:

Choose normal and click OK.

This is the init interface of an empty project. Kita bisa melihat project kosong itu terdiri atas sebuah jendela dengan dua frame. Frame sebelah kiri itu adalah tempat rak track. Track ini adalah sejenis wadah untuk menyimpan instrumen-instrumen yang akan kita gunakan. Tapi, instrumen yang akan kita pilih dibatasi hanya 16 jenis, sesuai dengan channel-nya.

Klik kanan pada salah satu track, pada menu yang muncul pilih track properties hingga muncul dialog box sebagai berikut.

Isi baris channel dengan 1, kemudian isi patch dengan instrumen yang diinginkan. Misalnya dalam lagu yang akan saya buat adalah patch piano. Terakhir klik tombol OK.

Setelah dialog box track properties tertutup, klik kanan frame kanan track yang tadi kita tentukan instrumennya, dan pilih staff. Pada jendela staff inilah kita bisa mengisikan nada-nada yang akan dimainkan nantinya. Sebenarnya kita juga bisa mengisi nadanya pada jendela piano roll. Tapi untuk instrumen non drum g lebih suka menggunakan jendela staff ini.

Awalnya, pointer kita telah ditentukan dengan fungsi untuk menggambar nada, dengan panjang nada satu ketukan. Kita bisa menentukan panjang nadanya sesuai yang kita inginkan.

Mungkin kebiasaan orang berbeda, tapi kalau g lebih cenderung untuk membuat chord dasar untuk musiknya terlebih dahulu. Baru memikirkan melodinya. Misalnya progress chord nya adalah Dm-Gmaj7-C-A7-A#Maj 2ndInversion-D#-E9. Kemudian klik tombol panjang nada yang bulat, untuk membuat nada dengan panjang nada 4 ketukan. Masukan nada-nada untuk membuat progressive chord seperti yang kita inginkan. Hasilnya adalah sebagai berikut:

Kalau ingin mendengarkan hasilnya, tekan tombol W pada keyboard kamu, lalu tekan spasi.

Yup. Selesai deh. Chord buat lagunya. Sekarang kita tinggal bikin melodinya saja. Lakukan hal yang sama seperti tadi, pada track berikutnya. Karena kita akan menggunakan instrumen yang berbeda, maka pilih channel yang berbeda dengan yang channel untuk instrumen sebelumnya. Kemudian pilih instrumen yang akan digunakan, misalnya violin. Buka jendela staff pada track 2 dan isi nadanya.

Setelah selesai menentukan nada-nadanya. Tutup jendela staff tadi supaya kembali ke jendela project. Kalau dirasakan tempo nya kurang cepat rubah tempo-nya sesuai keinginan. G naikin tempo jadi 110.

Ya, akhirnya selesai juga sebuah lagu sederhana. Hehe. Tapi ini masih awal. Kita bisa menambahkan berbagai instrumen dan memaksimalkan lagi aransemen lagu ini. Misalnya dengan menambahkan drum atau alat musik lainnya. Oh, iya sebelumnya g saranin tentuin nama dari lagunya. Soalnya judul lagu juga bisa mempengaruhi suasana dan feel kamu waktu meneruskan pembuatan musiknya. Misalnya lagu ini g namain Sous La Pluie. Artinya in the middle of the rain.

Hasilnya bisa di-download seperti ini, bentuk MIDI ini bisa di-play dengan Winamp atau masukkan dalam handphone kamu sebagai ringtone. Lebih lanjut file MIDI ini nanti bisa dijadikan bahan dasar untuk membuat musik dijital.

Okay, just after my descend on this midgard, several days ago someone ask me about how to download Youtube files. I'll try to answer this question. Youtube has somekind of flash mechanism that forbid one to download the file directly.There's one way though, at least according to what i ever try, which is by using the Mozzila Firefox add on.

Mozzila firefox is one of the best browser, if it's not the best. Tabbing windows, theme, addons, fast and reliable, you name it. But in my account I'm glad that it is free. Another important point related with this post is that it has addons that enable you to download Youtube movie, or I should expand it as embedded files.

Download the Addon

Just go the the addon pages. You can go by clicking the getting started button on the Firefox or just click the hyperlink I give.

Search it by keyword "download youtube". You'll find several addons, not all of them worked though. I choose the Videodownloader and download it. After the process finished, turn it on (usually automatic).

You'll see the small icon in line with the status bar of the Firefox.

Download Your Youtube Movie

Now if you already had that little iconic button on your Firefox status bar you are ready and armed to go to Youtube web. Search the movie you want. Make sure you are on the page that shows the movie. Finally, click the videodownloader icon on the status bar. You're ready to download the movie.

Finishing

Okay, you might confuse that the file you've downloaded has no extension. Just rename it with anything you want and add extension .flv on it. How to play it? Use a codec. I'm using KLMCodec v.335. Then play it using Media Player Classic.

My Resolution For 2008

Hum, I got another homework, from the toothfairy again. This time subject is next year resolution. Though, i haven't thought of anything for next year, but I'll try to explore what I'm gonna do for the next phase of my life.

1. Reaching my way up to conquer the earth in 10 years.
Yep, I never been this serious about it. I'm VERY SERIOUS, gyagyagya.. (evil laugh) I'm born to rule the world. Ugyaugyaugya (more scarrier evil laugh), well, whom should i lie for. Hehehe. I'm not really want to conquer. I hope that I could do something for everyone on earth. Well, if I couldn't bear the burden for everyone on earth, at least for one.

2. Collect
one big cabinet of books
COllecting a large amount and got drowned in the books has become my ambition, besides buying a maroon grand accoustic piano. I hope next year, I'll be one step closer to my ambition by collecting at least one big cabinet of books.

3. Understand people around me more
Some people starts telling me that I'm insensitive, not fun, and some even stop talking to me. Maybe I should put more effort in socializing, empathizing others problem, being more ears rather than lips.

4.Gain more weight
Do I have to put an explanantion here? No, just eating won't help me. I have five eating time schedule per day, and it doesn't work. Better starts thinking another way.

5. Plant a tree
Put illegal loggers into jail or making Buzz Junior signing Tokyo Protocol would only become a waste if we don't make a resolution for ourself. So plant a tree. It reduce a million tons of carbon in the air a year. Our nature has help us very much, its our turn to payback helping the mother nature.

6. More idling by stopping dilly-dallying.
I hope i could focus my mind even more in my work, so that I could have longer idle time. Yay! I'm genious!

7. Grateful to my Dearest God
Though I never wish that all of my wishes put into real, I have almost all of my last year wish and twice last year wishes comes true. I hope i could be even more gratefull, so that I could say proudly and honestly, that I'm a grateful person on my judgement day.

Hum, seems I keep my old habbit to postpone my work hehehehe. Well' I don't think I would be able to remove that habbit for the next year. Hehehe.

Ah.. This actually wasn't go for a tutorial, rather my experience though. I've had trouble setting GPRS in my mobile and sucked out for a week trying to figure out how to make it work.

But, lemme tell you something, we can't set GPRS on the air for K618i (at least in my case). Just set the GPRS manually, that the step by step should be (it doesn't work for me though :P). But, don't worrry... I'll give you the ultimate way to set the GPRS on the last part. By the way I'm using Bebas from XL. Change it whenever you feel needed it.

Set your Data Account

Go into Menu -> Connectivity -> Data Comm. -> Data Account. Select and add XL-GPRS. Insert data as follows:

APN : www.xlgprs.net
username : xlgprs
password : proxl

then just empty all item besides that. Okay. Finish. Some say that we could enter the IP Address, well i don't and it still works.

Register Your SIM Card

Aw.. Just call 818 and ask the peeps there to activate your SIM Card GPRS. Now, juts wait in less then two hour, it should be working. Okay, be patient. Wait for one day.
Still doesn't work? What you need now is this last step.

Go to the SIM Card Provider Customer Service

Ask the babe there to turn on your GPRS, as they usually would smile and activate it in no less then 10 minutes (in my case though).

There there. If you follow those steps consequently, you can connect to the world (net). Sprout your wings and put some words in your blog. Hope this help.

Rejoice people, your saviour hath cometh!

If you don’t know what I was talking about before, maybe this post would be an alien for you. But, for you who know what I was talking about, I want to tell you a secret.

Yes, the secret is that Enterbrain IS going to RELEASE another SEQUEL of RPG MAKER!!!! Waaaooo.. This latest version gonna be named as RMVX. I don’t know, maybe RMVX is derived from the Vista OS and XP OS. (^ O ^)a Isn’t it obvious? The Enterbrain claim that it will be released on DECEMBER of 2007!!

I don’t know myself, as I haven’t digging too much about it, but a friend of mine said that they will be 60 frame per second animation with even less scripting to make a high quality RPG. Unlike its predecesor RMXP, the RMVX will also added deleted RM2k3 features in RMXP, such as airship.

I really anxious of what it would be like. Oooh, I’ll be surely updating this post. Maybe I should add tags for RPG Maker. Hehe. Can’t wait for the 2008!!

Behind The Stage
I composse the song when I still in my second band, Lucid Rain. At that time this song was only an eight bar song. This music is also my effort to follow the band's genre of progressive rock. Nothing much that I could remember at that time. After several years of disband, the members of the old band formed Eclipse Harmony which also included me. So, the song itself took almost 2 years to finish. Some said that it's a progressive rock, some other said that it's a symphonical rock. Well, at least I’ve made it to composse some rock music. Phew.

Innersight
The song actualy trying to tell a story about a man with his... other soul. The man was depressed by the fact that he couldn't be the one for the girl he love, though his love is true (see the Reff). But, in his misery and denials, suddenly there's other soul calling into him. Recover his feeling, accompany him, cheered him, and sing with him. When the man feeling better, this other soul suddenly missing, with a promise that she'll be back to always be for him. Thus, I named this song "Promise" or “Promettre”. Hehuehue, what a strange story you might think. LOLs. Well, this might be a true story though ^^.

Inspired by the Phantom of the Opera movie, I'm making it a dialogue. Oh you might notice that the story is a reverse version of Angel of Music in Phantom. Several musical inspiration for the song are: La Reine (especially before the vocal part’s chord), Malice Mizer (the reff), Maxim (the early piano and the body), and…Castlevania’s soundtrack.

Old Box: Uncharted Waters II ~ New Horizon!!

After chatting with the reaper, Ho, several weeks ago I downloaded an old game. The Uncharted Waters!! Aww. This is one of the SNES finest game. Yes, just like other simulation semi adventure game, such as Romance of Three Kingdom, Nobunaga, Airline Tycoon, and Genghis Khan, this pieces of art created by some ingenious, KOEI. I prefer the snes version though, as the color is sharper aaand when you're entering a room in you are really entering a room, unlike the snes version, the PC version only brought you to some new page with menus and dialogs.

The game, New Horizon, the subtitle for the sequel of the Uncharted Waters bring a specific trends for pirate like or sailing like game. I don't know whether there are any older game that has the style in water battle routine like that - besides uncharted waters I mean. Anyhow, it's not just the battle that I presume to be the best features.

Story
Hum, the story is actually various in the beginning as we can choose several character, but has general common characteristics, which could be divided as Trader - Pirate - Navy. Trader doesn't have any specific purpose in battle, but they do maintain a large amount of money from trading. While as you could possibly guess that pirate and navy maintain their battle skills. Oh yes, we also have an explorer, a cartographer actually. The first character I play is sinbad like character, the turk. He dive into the ocean as a trader, with the help of his friend Salim, which turn out to be one of the best navigator. With his tongue this sinbad or maybe more of alladin hero persuade people from the city to invest on his trading skills. Not bad, at least the money provide you a starter capital, for the food, wood, water, and of course the goods to trade. Now, this is no simple journey, with his bestfriend Salim, they sailed not just to trade, but to find the trace of his little sister, and of course the side quest is being rich just to get enough tavern girl's attention.

Sound
Aw, this is a DOS game, you shouldn't complain. But, I do like the opening music, french like. It would be better if it using a MIDI.

Overall
So overall the game is at the numbers of 8. One thing I learned from the game is, that everyone on the earth should have a mission to do. At they're capable. At they ambition or anything. Aaaanyway, nice game. You should try it!

How To's
As I'm an XP user, I'm running the game using DOSBOX. It's actually a dos emulator for WINDOWS. You can try anyother emulator, though I never use other emulator besides the DOSBOX. Just google it, and you'll found it in Sourceforge sites. I'm putting this How To's in case you have the same experience as I do but don't know what to do. Okay, I'm running the DOSBOX using my Satellite 500mhz, so, if you have a large processor there should be no problem. Every game has various effect I guess.

If you encountered laggy and delayed game, try setting the cycles and then increasing the frameskip. It would be better also if you close other application besides the DOSBOX. Reduce the cycle into a numbers of 1 thousand, by pressing F11 - look at the title GUI - and then increase the frameskip by a number of 1. I got the game running smooth (no tittered BGM) in 1200 cycles and 1 frameskip. Hope this could help. Else, just turn off the sound or just buy another computer :D.

Huahaha. Okay, I’m ready to write about Dream of Mirror Online again. I’m in level 23 now still a saber. After finishing two of three spirit quest ini Yun Meng Plain I decided to go back to chang yang. There’s one quest that I haven’t take in the city, which is the exorcist quest. No, its not the zombie in the mortuary. It’s the mission in feng feng tomb. Yuck. Another tomb.

Okay. The mission need me to collect several items before entering the quest.

Spell paper 10 item. You could buy this cheaply in NPC, don’t buy this from a player.
Bat blood 10 item. Dayu Canal should be enough to collect this item.
Peach wood 10 item. You need to lumber the raw peach wood, but if you need it faster, you could always bought them from the other player stall. The price should be between 150-200. I got it in the price of 130.

After collecting this, the exorcist said that he should meet me inside the feng feng tomb. Just go deeper in the feng-feng untill the portal before the spider cave. After getting down the stair you should see the exorcist waiting you. With my 2/3 str and 1/3 phy stats I still couldn’t defeat the Skeleton King easily. I whack the mons with 220 attack. But, I would easily got hit and weakened just after it evolved to a bigger mons.

Chubbery a friend from the guild offering help to bust the mons, but, I really in a bad condition that we have to die three times before winning from the skeleton king. Chub has better resistant to the monster as he could easily evade the monster attack though his attack only a quarter of my attack damage. Anyway thank’s for him I finally finished the exorcist mission, barely survive though.

Domo Journey (1): The Defender of Zhai Ye and Treasure Box and…

I don’t know why, I suddenly had this feeling that I should post about Dream of Mirror Online. If I just telling all secrets or anything like that, it would be no different than a walkthrough. Thus, I was thinking that it should be in a storyboard form and should be mainly retell what happened to my character in the game, though I won’t tell from the beginning as my character already level 22 with primary job saberman right now. Enough with the opening, let’s just dig in.

After Defending Zhai Ye

The Zhai Ye mission mainly lizard spanking mission. The hardest thing on this mission is killing the ladybug (some big blue meanie butterfly in Tong Jiau mountain on the western of the map), which actually easy too when you’re above level 18. After completing series of the zai ye missions you’ll get blue dice, glove (saber), and a title ‘Zhai Ye Defender’. As usual I only got some frog from the dice. I’m definitely not a lucky gambler.

You can get the mission, in Zhai Ye (go south, east, south, then south again: or just open the global map when you’re out of the Chang Yang). Talk to the younger man near the healing steele.

After this, you could always take the missions over and over again to reclaim the prize, fame, and experience. Yes, I choose taking the mission once again and helping people with lower level to finish the missions together.

Finishing the Zai Ye missions for the second time would be much easier than the first time. My journey continue to Fang Feng Tomb. I thought that with my curent 19 level, I should be able to pass the main quest easier. As you know, the Fang Feng is the place for the 1-2 main quest (after reveals the truth that the city administrator is actually devilish tiger). The true adminstrator Chang Yang said that his child was kidnaped by the devil. You should trace its track near the fishing spots. After that you could enter the Fang Feng tomb.

Fang Feng Tomb

I enter the fang feng with cautious as my first attempt was ended up killing me in several minutes against the zombie and one eye monster mobs. But hey, it’s much easier now. I could whack the zombie easily now, though the one eye still a bit pain in the ass. Whew 76 points damage.

The quest narrating my meeting with some unknown girl that turn out to be the Spider Queen. Whack. I got busted from the back. The spider’s children then gathers slash and attack me all over. I wake up and fight those spiders. The spiders wasn’t really too hard. The only thing that make them tough is their large health power. I combine Fury and Call of The Bull it’s really effective, not more than 20 minutes the three spiders vanquish on my blade. Finishing those spiders has move me into part two of the 1-2 main quest, which is killing the Spider Queen. Yes, the one I had to fight three times before. Fighting her alone definitely not a good idea, but asking people to help me also troublesome. Hence, I go back to Chang Yang thinking what should I do next. If I insist on battering the queen, I should collect some pestisides (which is the quest requirement) that could be created by the blacksmith (only in qunlun quest) from a night grit and some jellies. My best guess from that kind of drops are the well.

I enter the well once again and found that I haven’t finished one quest here. What? So after the pollywag there is one mission left here, which is killing the spider canibal. Whew. Another spider of the day. Sure, I kill it clean and simple. Gain another title ‘Shui Jing Helper’ and several other prizes that has lower value than the Zhai Ye.

Deciding to called it off from spidy things, I decline from the well and enter the tavern underground instead. There’s one mission here, which I haven’t finished yet. Finding the Map No. 1. In the tavern we could collect maps from various monster, the rat, pupu king corpse, the box, and the barrel. Find them all and get it to a man near the quest entry of the tavern, for he will give you a map into a treasure box.

Treasure Box or Monster Box

I take the mission of the tavern once again. Which is eradicating the rat, kill the pupu to get some lost belonging, the box for old gold coin, and wine from the barrel.

Why take them all? Well, actually messing with the barrel alone is still hard things to do even when you’re above level 21 with attack of the saber. So, if we got our MP and HP squeezed after kissed by the barrel, we could always divert our attack on the rats and box which less harmfull, meanwhile letting the MP and HP regenerate, and in addition in the end will give us the prize if we finish the quest wholy.

After taking the quest, I thrust into the barrel location near the stairs. Killing them a little and fortunately after several times the Map No. 1 was dropped from the barrel. YESS!!!! I’m happy as hell. Go back to foyer of the basement. The oldman man then give me a treasure map. The big treasure has awaits me. I dash again near the barrel, as the clue was, ‘the treasure should be on the wide space of the basement’. I move further into the center of the area. Yes, the treasure box are there. Big red shiny treasure box. Well, with about twenty or thirty barrel around and one big barrel. Ouch, why there have to be a boss!

I’m moving quietly and carefully not to insult the barrel that surround the box, especially the big one. Tell you what, it doesn’t work as the barrel are aggressive mons. The stupid big barrel mons also reacted from my move, it goes directly into me and give me a goodie whack that halved my HP. I’m trying to circling the crowd and click on the treasure to open it. Am I genious or what?

Nyew. It’s hard. Better hit it. My swashbucking attack turn out pissing the box which turn to be a boss too. Waoooooooooo. It gives me a nice attack that put my HP into 1. I exit the battle routine punily. Let’s just say, I’LL BE BACK YOU STUPID BOX!!

Mobbing with Peeking

It’s bad. It’s very bad. With my curent level I couldn’t finish the mission alone. I need a party for that kind of mission. Whew. But leaving the place now are wasting my time, I decided to gave my self a forgiveness by clobbering the barrel again to complete the mission I already took.

Not long, a group of people coming to me. It’s a common view, that group of parties coming to the place. Usually comprises people with level 18 to 25, consists of various job, such as yin yang master, kungfu master, thief, saber, but doctor is their a must have in the party. One of the party decided to add me as their member. Well, its not bad though. Mobbing highly challenging monster like the barrels for teens and early twenties are preferable. The saber or kungfu master collect the monster and let them gather in one place while the yin yang master attack area at them.

These people are: desavlex, a doctor suck you, a thief princess cute, ruu, big zee, and blitzz level 26 of kungfu master with a pet. The party was nice, my level arose 2 into level 22 with them. The mob battle was nice, well, until the cute princess clothes destroyed. Whew. Desavlex also loosing his clothes. But, unlike desavlex, princes cute got more attention, that after the clothes torn her cleavage was shown for everybody to see. Yes, most of the guys are happy. Happy mobbing and peeking.

One of the guy said, ‘I don’t believe you’re a real woman in the real world.’ Tricky statement if I could say. Cause, it usually will offence a real woman and force her to show her feminine identity. IMHO, man who says this kind of statement usually experienced with woman.

The cute princess hurriedly answer, ‘Like you would know!’

Yep, she is a woman. Wedew, so she’s actually (possibly) a woman in a real world and we’re harassing her though its only in a pixelated semiotics. Still the guys are happy with pokering face. Me? Aaargh. How do you know?

I read
Book is the best friend I had. It accompany me in every aspect of my life. I'd die if I'm not reading something. Yup, this is true. I have to bring something to read even when I have to go to a toilet.

Sleeping with computer
I don't like too quiet environment. I need the sound of my computer to get a nice sleep. This sound would work as sound therapy and anti-mosquito. I don't know whether it is true or unscientific, but I do feel it.

Yes, just like before. This is NOT a tutorial on how to increase your traffic, SEO, money, or watsoever related to it. It was another beautiful afternoon, before a tooth fairy coming to brighten up my day, a friend of mine, reaper-x make another appearance.

Our conversation was circling into another world of blog and SEO and gold mine of advertising. He was complaining on how one ads company disappoint him. Unlike Chitika customer support who welcome him with a warm gesture, this ads company, that I won’t mention, simply ignoring his mail.

This ads company that once again I won’t mention actually one big company that at the first time requires a publisher with 500.000 monthly visitors. I don’t know why they change the rule, because now they would easily accept even simple blog 8 post as their publisher.

This sticky uncanny change has given a birth of one theory, said, that the ads corp has found a new tech. They gladly accept sites with low spec because they’re very sure that most of those publishers would cheat, thus they would easily banned the publisher before the publisher hits 100 USD. They still got revenue from the advertiser company, while they don’t have to give money for the publisher.

Another conspiracy theory? Well, you decide for yourself.

My Nightmare

So a few days ago, I have the same disease that since 4 years ago never hit me. In Indonesia we usually called it ereup-ereup. Some might say I am having calcium defficiency, some other say I'm too tired.

The common symptoms are usually started that in my sleep I felt someone pressing into my body. My brain was numb. As if being suffocated and penetrated in the same time. I feel loosing my control on everything except my soul. When it struck me I'm loosing my sight and my ear. When I try to regain my sense, I’m usually barely successful and very exhausted.

I choose blogger, at the time, simply because I curious with its new feature, with xml and movable type elements. But, unlike my free account in wordpress, blogspot not only gives me features the easily edit the blog element, but also providing user the capability to change their template manually using the xml. Curiosity might not kill the cat, but surely has brought me blogging with blogspot.

Who need the META Tags?

One thing that I notice from the new xml based beta blogger, is… no tags. No meta tags as title or keyword or content description. It’s just “plain” boxy style css xml, which I barely understand. So I ask my friend. My answer must be a stupid answer, that he have to emphasized in a crude way that META tags are not needed. Current SEO doesn’t depends on meta keyword tags. Sokka. I don’t really understand, but then I search several materials that mainly supporting his statement. Well, I do trying to place the meta tags on my xml template, but I always got the error message, that I don’t understand what to do. and so my humble conclusion is: there’s no such thing as putting keyword meta tags in a blog. Just submit your blog, in google, yahoo, and msn, then let the people there crawl for your blog.

SEO and Adsense

Current hot issue is how to manipulate the robot in the search engine to generate your blog or site as priority. It could be the massive information posting or it could be the magical keyword. Albeit, people are racing in applicating the best technique to do it, making backtrack, leaving trails, affiliating refferals, or many other more barbaric way such as using malicious software.

At the first time I know blogging, people are encouraged to do this things just to make others read or visitting their blog, as traffic are the main indicator of their pride. More traffic more pride. But then our world has changed, people encouraged to do this things for money. Yes, the google Adsense are here for you to signup, and every click on ads on your blog will be gold for you, which means your library has changed into a gold mine. Testimony of whom successfully gain dollars in every country also as vivid as the sky. People are getting rich just by doing what they like, which is blogging.

Blogging with AdSense mushrooming just like selling hot peanuts on the carnival. Even not into blogging people also exploit this features as their money making machine – that spreading into every niche of the core, such as teaching beginner to blog, provide SEO service, submitting blog service, and many others. The application are simple and easy, in only 6 days you’ll have your blog a gold mine. Well, it might not to big for other country, but as for Indonesia, having a low position dollar compare to the US or Europe, people are rejoicing with this scheme. From my experience every click on the ads would mainly differ between 0.03 – 0.9 US dollar (I got a 0.01 point in a click, though), which converted in indonesian dollar (IDR) between 100 rupiah to 8 thousand rupiah. It’s just from one click and one sites, and you could calculate yourself if you had at least 3 click on 10 blog. How much would you get in a day? In a month? And that number of a money enough to drive people into blogging, even into designing unethic manner technique to oversmart the optimization.

The answer

The answer is simple. Just be a good publisher. Write a content that would really help people with your information. Unique visitor would come back over and over to your site. The more valuable books you had in your library, the more people come. The more people come, the more impression you can get. The more impression you got, the more gold you mine.

What kind of information that could help people? The answer is also very simple. The information that could help people are the information that you also want to know. Thus, start studying, spread your knowledge, mine your gold. You’ll be not only a good but also rich publisher.

About a Cat

I always thought that a cat has magnificent intelligence. One that always amaze me is that they has something in common with human, which is habituation. This habituation then also actuated as domestication. Not only those habituation are taught, they could also learn it independently.

At first I have 1 female cat (Komeng), which pregnant five times with each 4 kids until she finally gone from my house. From her, I only know one son and daughter that I always play with (Michael and Molly), cause most of them are drowned because of the big flood that happened several years ago. Today, Michael is gone while Molly give birth to another 16 kitten which also mostly died (got hit by a car, picked up by children around the neighbor, eaten by dogs, etc). Most of the cats that incidently domesticated in my house has adapted to the inhibitant, they know who will give them food or who will throw them away. Of course they're not taught to be afraid of someone, but they have danger sense that learned on the process. This knowledge stay on their memories as long as they live.

So if they learn that you can't be trusted, it would be very hard for you to gain their trust back.

Hohoho… Suzumiya Haruhi. Have you read it? I thought it was gonna be a serious anthrocentrical ‘I think there for I am’ philosophical novel. For those who haven’t read it, wiki search it. Not recommended for whom seeking pleasure from a serious novel. This novel essentially, a typical happy go romance manga, but crafted in a manner of some philosophical alien type novel.

I even thought the character Haruhi would be a serious pretty classical semi realistic figure manga character, but then, the image shatter as the character turn out to be a happy go lucky unpredictably egoistical girl. But, hey the best news is Kippi is here to fulfill your otaku brain burst out by cosplaying perfectly as Haruhi. Thus, this pixel art is also dedicated for SOS fan out there.

By the way, it seems that I make the picture too small, that I barely could touch the face optimumly, hence if any of you got a comment and suggestion you’re more than welcome.

This is one famous novel of Paulo Coelho, if I’m not mistaken. The first time I get a glimpse on this book is when I still on junior and I finally finished reading it yesterday! Hoha! The longest time to read a book? No, it’s actually my shortest time. I read it from the beginning and finished it only in 2 hours.

When I read it in the first time, which is, about eleven years ago. I don’t quite get the meaning of the book, eventhough the main character should has the same age as me at that time, maybe. The story itself brought you to a world of one boy trying to accomplishes his wish as well as his destiny. In the time the boy would journey from one trouble at another that sometime misguided him into some other places. But, signs are something to be thinking of, finally brought him back to his track. Finding the treasure and the love of his life.

The story reminds me about something, about one thing actually, that might be my everything, which is my dream. The first time I write my dream was about four years ago. I type it. Think about it well, and read it aloud in my heart. Though, it is now only a bubble of memory in my head. It was my dream, that I know now would never be come true.

Maybe, I am like the crystal glass seller, when the signs told me something, I’m afraid to move on. As if I would be much better if my dream won’t come true.

Anyway, just read the book. Inspirational as rainy days on the window of your eyes. Even if it couldn’t make you move to grasp your dream, at least it would make you treasure your dream.

RF-Online, DOM-Online, Rappelz

Recently, my friend and I have a debate that ended up in tension. I play Dream of Mirror Online, using Indonesian server. A friend of mine plays RF-Online, while another friend of mine plays Rappelz. For several days we talk about those game, I ask them to join and play DOMO, while they also promotes me to play RF and Rappelz. When, persuasive friendly method doesn’t work, we’re starting to boast the game we play. After that we’re not talking to each other for some time.

Basically, nothing wrong with the game. However there are several differences that spiced up the topic between us.

Graphic. All of them are 3D character sprite game, but while DOMO uses cell-shading, both Rappelz and RF showing realistic rendered 3D model. So, DOMO basically, feel more cartoon rather then the other two. I don’t know why, I always prefer cartoon atmosphere, maybe because it’s the closest to 2D graphic. It’s not that I hate 3D, but I feel more comfortable playing a game with 2D interface. DOMO uses a semi super deformed style, while the other two in realistic scale. Personally, I also prefer non super deformed, but in the case of DOMO because it’s not really deformed, I could still bear with it. While my friend choose Rappelz as it has better graphic render than the others.

For Indonesian, maybe you could find DOMO or RF-Online in every game online kiosk in your place but if you’re interested playing Rappelz and other multiplayer online games that not available Indonesia, you should visit and download the client freely at: www.mmosite.com.

Chapter 1: Building Up the Shape

Actually, to learn pixel art you need to have some basic art skill, such as converting images in your brain into a piece of paper. But don’t wory, you could also learn those on the way.

Some people may start their way from carving a line art. Personally, I have the same opinion, but as this is for beginner that I assume lack of basic art skill and anatomic knowledge, I’m suggesting another way of starters: Building up the shape.

When we imagine a picture of a ‘thing’ in our head. The most easiest method is by imagining their shape, a black painted shape. That’s what we’re going to do in this tutorial. For example, you’re going to imprint an apple in your head. So you should close your eyes and imagine one. Don’t bother with their texture and colour yet. Just a shape. Build the image on your imagination. Now, open your eyes and put this shape on your digital canvas.

Don’t wory, just use a big round pencil drawing tool.

Is this the apple? Almost, but, you must not be proud of this raw shape too much. One important key that you should always remember is: spend more time in perfecting the shape, cause it’s the basic and fore foundation of your work.

Did you see the spiky thing on the left mark and baggy ugly thing on the right mark? That’s our priority. I guess the apple also to bulky, maybe we could reduce the size on the bottom side of the shape. So, reduce your big round pencil into smaller one and fix those things.

Now, this more like it, though we could still spruced up several things on it. Yes, you should get the hang of it if you pass this way. Okay, you pass this tutorial.

Mouse, Pixel Artist’s Bestfriend

Until about several years ago I was always drooling on every Wacom that I browse on the internet. That’s because there are several’s features of Photoshop that only works with a penmouse, yup, the shape dynamic jitter control. I envied people with Wacom. Back then I always thought that great equipment would give me better chance to enhance my computer graphic’s technic.

That’s until I try one – borrow from a friend – and “It’s very hard,” was my first comment.

I can’t even put the pointer on the right place. My hand got shaky. It’s troublesome for me to push the pen everytime I want to colour the picture, cause I can’t control the pressure. Thus, I gave up.

After that I learn the pixel art, that doesn’t require me to have a Wacom. From this modest art, I learn that art is not what kind of equipment you use, but what kind of creativity that could take you move on.

Do you believe that?

No, I don’t believe that! Cause, the truth is, I always yelled at my mouse in the past. I got stressed doing this ultra pixel per pixel art because at that time I still use the ball mouse. So, after a few months of saving I finally bought the optic mouse that I am still using until now. Small handy comfy butt shaped optical mouse, as in the picture.

Anyway, the best conclusion IMHO is: just pick hardware that fits your work purpose.

Well, you might be anxious of how do I look. So I made one. Photoshop 7 does powerfull. Though you would still able to paint this kind of pieces using unrecommended MS Paint.

NO!! It’s not a duck! It’s a penguin, a pingouin, or pinguin in Indonesian. Bird genus that cannot fly, they say that it could fly before – well there are myths for everything I guess.

You see, I’ve only seen a penguin in pictures so I don’t really knows about it. From various pictures that I’ve seen. A penguin has a yellowish hair so I imagine it should be stylish hair. Just like that.

Me, Charset, and Pixel Art

In truth, I had a contact with creature called pixel art not for long, so I don’t know much about it. It was when I am trying to make some character set for the game I made about 5 years ago or so. Firstly, I don’t even know that creating a graphic in that kind of scale and bits by bits called pixel art.

IMHO, the pixel arts are like making puzzle. We choose the color pix then put it one by one, that at first we couldn’t imagine what it could be, until we outzoom the plate. Hoala!

I don’t know that at first. From the first day I edit charset, I usually use Photoshop, unless for the purpose of animating the charset. Thus, I always use all it’s function, alpha blending, anti-aliasing, anything – you name it. That’s before I enter one forum for pixel art. Thus, I learn that true pixel art bear putting each pixel carefully, so none of the tools mentioned before are allowed, as those tools produced colors and pixel location that not manually choosen.

More ‘purist’ pixel artist told me that not even line nor fill bucket are allowed in any graphics that considered as pixel art. So then I start my first pixel art graphic, that turn out to be a total disaster. I couldn’t even a perfect circle - don’t bother with the curve.

After my trial and error on this art, there are something that might useful to practice pixelarting:

Use the most convinient software. People may try to influence you to use various kinds of graphic editor; GIMP, MS PAINT, PHOTOSHOP, PAINTSHOP, COREL. While others would say that using sophisticated forbidden in pixel art. Here what I say, use the most convinient software for youself to use, but the most important thing is: a) use graphics software that provide shortcuts for it’s tools; b) use graphic software that allow you easily picking pallets; c) use graphic software that allow you to save the file in .png and .gif extension; d) use graphic software that has grid view feature. It’s a lot easier!
Try to practice in simple 128 x 128 pixel resolution. I’m not saying this as standard resolution. What I meant is that you should try on a moderate size of canvas. Not too large as in 340 x 240 nor too small such 32 x 32. Large canvas could degrade your passion, cause everytime you put one pixel compare the canvas dimension, you’d feel that your work would as long as eternally no ends. Yet, mini canvas could make you feel uneasy probing the size of your unborn picture.
Use the shortcut key! Hey, what’s the point of shortcut when you don’t use it. Shortcut key able you to work faster. For example, (i) for choice pallete from the canvas, (b) for putting the pixel. Working side by side, your left hand on the keyboard and the right hand on the mouse is a lot more easier.
View the grid canvas.The canvas grid better turned on; as it would help you putting the pixel more accurately.
Experiments on colour. Always think and experiment about every color you’re gonna pick. For the starter choose 3 colour for every parts. One for the base, one for shading, and the last for the outline.
Get in a forum and accept critics. The last, you must keep in mind that what you called piece of art are not the best of all universe. Some people will like it, most of them are not. So, accept critics, cause it could make you not only better artist but also a better human.

My main world rotates about art, beginner tecchie stuff as in happy-happy user friendly newbie-newbie software, music, and poem. The point is, I love beautiful things. Thus, this blog established in my interests of that kind of stuff.
